About
Calliope Herbal blends evidence-based insight with time-honoured approaches to wellness. Each session is guided by intention, curiosity, and a commitment to understanding your unique symptology — Nicole Smith is a Medical Herbalist who completed their phytotherapy training on Vancouver Island at Pacific Rim College with an elective focus on nutrition. Smith has a special interest in working with hormonal disorders and imbalances in women and AFAB people, supporting the experience of neurodivergent people and related health conditions, assisting in nervous system regulation after trauma and supporting gut and digestive concerns.
Smith also has previous education in environmental studies at the University of Victoria and botany training at the Pacific Horticulture College. These experiences have informed her knowledge of plant structure and function and have bloomed a passion and respect for sustainable cultivation and harvesting of medicinal plants.
The Herbs
Calliope Herbal specializes in research-heavy client care. Clinical herbalist Nicole Smith's goal is to focus her time and energy on understanding your unique pathology, recognizing the patterns and delivering carefully selected herbal treatment plans for each individual. For this reason, we work in collaboration with local herbal dispensaries to provide the formulated plant medicines to you. This way, Calliope Herbal can focus on you, your needs and the research while the dispensaries can focus on the growing and sourcing of ethical, high-quality plant medicine.
Green Muse Herbs, a Vancouver Island based dispensary focused on small-scale, farm-direct, and stewarded plant sourcing, can fulfill your formula requests via email or phone and offer either local pickup in Victoria or shipping across Canada for a flat rate fee of $20.

For those who may be coming to us from outside of Canada, we offer detailed formulas with plants chosen for easy sourcing in your geographical location. However, at this time, we are unable to ship the herbs to you.
